Why do the epsilon platform cars hold their value so much better than the W-body cars of the same year?
Generally twice the price...

Because when the Epsilon platform made its debut, the W-body was almost old enough to get a drivers license

W-body is ancient and cheap. Heavily discounted when new, and used prices were bargains even when new models were coming out on the platform. Buy one. Drive it into the ground. Loathe it. Despise it. Let it be the condustor of all that you hate about this world. And enjoy 150k miles of motoring until the transmission explodes. Best 50$ you'll ever spend (75$ if you want a buick)
